In November 2002, Cambodian-American Joe Cook returned to
Cambodia and donated school and baseball supplies to the MeasChum school located
in Baribo city, 68 miles west of Phnom Penh. The next day, he helped the
children build Cambodia's first ballpark. On November 26, 2002 baseball
was born as Joe officially introduced it to the people for the very first time
by teaching children how to pitch, throw, catch, hit, and run the bases.
